A young woman with curly brown hair, green eyes, and a warm smile, standing against a wooden wall, wearing a cream-colored knit sweater.

Hey there, I’m Marah and I’m so glad you stopped by.

Maybe you are feeling stuck in patterns of overfunctioning, perfectionism, or that your anxiety is running the show. Or perhaps you are feeling numb and disconnected from yourself, your relationships, and feel like “you can’t seem to get it right.”  If you relate to this experience, I see you, I get it, and it would be my honor to help you live a more fulfilling life.

After completing her undergraduate degree in Music Therapy from University of Georgia, Marah traveled and worked a variety of jobs ranging from a hospice music therapist, yoga instructor, to a health and wellness coordinator for a nonprofit centering musicians' mental health. These experiences informed her interest in the complexities of being human and the systems that impact us. Marah pursued a dual-master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Music Therapy at Appalachian State University. Her varied experiences prepared her to work with individuals, couples, and families of various gender identities, sexual orientations, relationship structures, and racial-ethnic backgrounds from early childhood to end of life. Marah works with people to address a variety of presenting concerns, with a focus on relationship and interpersonal issues, complex family dynamics, and eating disorders.

Marah values a collaborative and compassionate approach to working with individuals and couples. She has a particular interest in overfunctioning, anxiety, eating disorders, neurodiversity, attachment distress, and complex-PTSD. Marah has an integrative style blending Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment & systems theory, narrative therapy, and experiential therapeutic approaches.

Outside of work, you could find Marah exploring the outdoors, creating with music or art, or reading a cozy book.
